San Francisco (USA) – Thousands of users of the social network Twitter are reporting problems today, their web links are not working. According to the company, the problems were caused by an internal change with unintended consequences. American billionaire Elon Musk took over Twitter last year for $44 billion (now CZK 970.3 billion). Since his arrival, the number of employees at the company has decreased by approximately 70 percent. According to some critics, this is reflected in the functionality of the platform and the regulation of its content.

“We made an internal change that had some unintended consequences. We are working on it now and will share an update after the fix,” the social media operator said.
According to Downdetector, which tracks outage reports internet services, over 8,000 users reported problems in the United States around 18:00 CET. In the Czech Republic, 150 people reported the problem.
The NetBlocks organization, which monitors worldwide Internet traffic, said that the problem also affects images and videos. This is the sixth major outage of the Twitter network since the beginning of this year, last year the social network had three in the same period.
“This platform is so fragile. It will be fixed soon,” Musk wrote on Twitter. In February, he stated that it would take him roughly until the end of this year to stabilize the company and ensure its financial health.
