Julio César Chávez González is preparing to fight again next Friday against Jorge “El Travieso” Arce at the Gran Hotel in Tijuana.
However, in an interview with the youtuber and influencer Alex Montiel , better known as “El Escorpión Dorado” , he recalled when 'Canelo' Álvarez “ bullied ” the ESPN journalist, David Faitelson, by assuring that he did not know anything about boxing.
” To Faitelson who is not wanking him, ” said the former boxer jokingly.

“The Great Mexican Champion” also said what his opinion is about the eternal debate of whether commentators or analysts are qualified to talk about a sport even if they did not practice it:
“ You don't have to be a boxer to be a good commentator, most of the commentators have not been boxers and have been better commentators than boxers, there you have (Jorge) Sonny Alarcón, Rodolfo Vargas, Carlitos Aguilar, who were not boxers, ( Eduardo) Lamazón, Antonio Andere, there is a chingo, (Eduardo) Camarena, there are many ”.
The former Sonoran boxer will return to the ring for a 4-round exhibition fight against Jorge Travieso Arce , on Friday, September 25, at the Grand Hotel Tijuana.
Meanwhile, the World Boxing Council will give him the Otomí commemorative belt. The fight marks the third between the two former boxers, which aims to help people in need who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The fight will be held without an audience , the transmission will be via streaming and the cost to see it is 175 pesos in Mexico. In the United States, it can be seen on the DAZN platform .
The first fight they made for a cause between the two former athletes was at the Tijuana Municipal Auditorium in November 2019 and the proceeds went to the recovery of the son of José Luis “Terrible” Castillo and in March they faced each other at the Multiple Use Center of Hermosillo Sonora.
“ The two exhibitions that I have done with Naughty have been incredible , people stayed outside. Now, pay per event, here we go, let's hope that something good is raised to help more people, ”said Chávez González.

The native of Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, completed on September 17 15 years since he retired from the ropes and more than a decade since he stopped using drugs.
He believed that he had achieved it all, because he had money, cars, yachts, a private jet, but his love for boxing was gone . This stage, he mentioned, was his decline.
“People that I didn't even know began to arrive, I began to surround myself with negative people. I had to pay the price and the world came over me, “Julio César said in an interview for the YouTube channel called El Exotico del Boxeo.
” When I tried cocaine for the first time, I thought I could quit, but I never could of my own free will, ” said the boxer, who admitted that he came to hate his wife because she put him in a rehabilitation clinic, even told him that the was going to kill.
“( Now) I thank him, because I have been clean for 12 years and life has changed me. I received awards that I can enjoy, ”said Chávez González, who has the record for the most world title fights (37).
