Prague – Today, the public can say goodbye to Naďa Urbánková at the funeral mass in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the grounds of the Strahov Monastery in Prague. The popular singer and actress died on February 3 at the age of 83. Jana Fabiánová's daughter and closest family and friends came to say their last goodbye to Urbanová already on February 10 in the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary on the grounds of the monastery in Želiva, where the singer was buried in the family grave after the church ceremony.

Nadežda Balabánová, as Urbánková was called when she was unmarried, was born on June 30, 1939 in Nové Paca and grew up in the village of Borovnička, where she started going to school. She appeared in front of the camera for the first time in the film musical If a thousand clarinets, she also played in the films Ostře oblázáné vlaky, Skrivánci na niti and Na samote u lesa. As a singer, she became famous especially with traffic light hits Drahý můj and Závidím and a successful era with Jiří Brabek's Country Beat.
