Prague – Prague politicians Spolu (ODS, TOP 09 and KDU-ČSL), Pirát and STAN will sign a coalition agreement on Wednesday, February 15, in the municipality building on Mariánské náměstí. Municipality spokesman Vít Hofman told ČTK. This will happen almost five months after the municipal elections. The party representatives completed the draft of the coalition agreement the week before last. It has already been approved by all parties and at the meeting of representatives on February 16, they want to elect a new leadership of the metropolis headed by Mayor Bohuslava Svoboda (ODS).

The signing of the coalition agreement will be attended by representatives of the parties who were members of the negotiation teams. Spolu will have five representatives in the 11-member capital city council, while ODS will have three representatives, including the mayor, and TOP 09 will have two. Instead of positions in the council, KDU-ČSL will occupy two chairperson positions in municipal committees. Pirates will have four councilors and STAN two. The coalition will have a majority of 36 votes in the 65-member council. The coalition agreement does not include the vote of representative Hana Kordová Marvanová, elected for Spolu.

Negotiations about a coalition in Prague on the governmental ground plan of Spolu, Pirátů and STAN have been going on since last year's September elections, and have gradually become more complicated for various reasons. The situation was unblocked in mid-January by the Together offer, so that the Pirates and STAN would have a combined majority in the council, and subsequently the withdrawal of the Pirates from the alliance they had previously established with Praha Sobě.

The Spolu coalition won the communal municipal elections last fall, winning 19 mandates. ANO ended second with 14 mandates. The Pirates have 13 representatives and Praha Sobě 11 mandates. Five representatives were won by the STAN movement and three by the SPD.
