Ceded to RBB

The presidential delegate of Los Ríos, Carla Peña, reiterated the desire for dialogue of the Government and assured that they do not want to reach a situation “as complex” as in the north of the country.

All this due to the fact that truckers have been evicted from the northern routes and the Executive announced the filing of complaints under the State Security Law.

The carriers rejected the government’s proposal which, among other things, offered an injection to Mepco of 1,500 million dollars to guarantee control of the variation in the price of diesel and freeze its value for 90 days.

In this sense, the truckers insisted on a 30% reduction in fuel prices for 6 months, however, this was rejected by the Minister of Finance, Mario Marcel , given the high fiscal cost.
