A new color code for the launch of Verified, Twitter’s new authentication system. “A gold tick for companies, a gray tick for governments, blue for individuals (celebrities or not) and all verified accounts will be manually authenticated before enabling verification,” Elon Musk this Friday.

The billionaire, new owner of the social network, announced the start of the device for Friday, December 2, before apologizing for the delay.

The new authentication system wanted by the boss of Tesla has been causing confusion and misunderstanding for several weeks. The 51-year-old wants to offer a paid subscription to 8 dollars per month allowing all users who wish to obtain the famous blue tick, which was previously free but reserved for accounts considered notorious.
