Prague – During a collision with a tram in the center of Prague two girls were injured in the afternoon. One lost her leg. The Prague Medical Emergency Service announced this on Twitter. Due to the accident, the operation of several tram lines was interrupted for approximately half an hour.

According to the website of the Transport Company of the City of Prague, the accident happened shortly before 5:00 pm at the Jindřišská tram stop. A nine-year-old girl was seriously injured in a collision with a tram, and according to rescuers, she lost her leg. The paramedics put her into artificial sleep. “Another young girl has a knee injury, and an adult woman has an acute stress reaction. We are transporting everyone to the FNM (University Hospital in Motola),” the rescuers announced.
Firefighters rescued the girl from under the tram. Police officers were also on the scene. Due to the intervention, the operation of eight tram lines was interrupted in both directions from approximately 16:45 to 17:20.
