Arbitration court chamber of the UEFA club financial control body has taken the decision on the disqualification of the English football club Manchester city from European competition for the next two seasons. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of UEFA.
Such decision was accepted in connection with serious violations of the rules of club licensing and financial “fair play” League. In particular, man city in 2012-2016 overstated income from sponsorship in their accounts and in reports of break-even.
“Arbitration chamber has imposed disciplinary action on the football club “Manchester city” and determined that he should be suspended from participating in any UEFA club competition for the next two seasons (i.e. the seasons 2020/21 and 2021/22), and to pay a fine in the amount of 30 million euros,” – said UEFA.
This decision may be appealed to the court of arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
Recall information about the possible disqualification of man city appeared at the end of 2018. The reason for this was the information that appeared in the Football Leaks, violation of the current Champions of England financial fair play rules (FFP).
Also RBC-Ukraine wrote that in 2018, the FIFA decided not to punish the English “Manchester city” for possible violation of transfer rules. The club was threatened with disqualification for two transfer Windows for the transfer of a minor player from EU countries.
