Prague – The basketball players of ZVVZ USK Prague finished the basic group A of the European League with the certainty of second place with a win over Bologna 71:50. In the quarterfinals, which will begin on Tuesday, March 14, coach Natálie Hejková's team will face the third team from Group B. Today's matches will decide the opponents against whom they will have the advantage of the home environment in the two-game winning streak.

American Brionna Jones helped the victory with a double double, who was the best scorer of the game with 17 points and added ten rebounds. Valériane Vukosavljevičová (14) and María Condeová (12) also scored double-digit points for the winners. Alyssa Thomas was close to a triple-double with eight points, nine assists and 14 rebounds.

In the beginning, it took time for the home players to gain a foothold. In the first five minutes, only Teja Oblaková and Thomasová scored, while Bologna started with two three-pointers and led 10:4.

But then Vukosavljevičová started an eleven-point streak with a triple, and the second from the home team by Tereza Vyoralová increased the score to at the start of the second quarter, the score was 18:12. Bologna was able to turn it around to 21:20, but Conde started another 11-0 streak with a triple. At halftime, the USK players held a ten-point difference.

In the second half, the home team soon took a 13-0 series to the highest lead in the game, 24 points. Bologna corrected to 40:54 at the turn of the third and fourth quarters, but in the end the sixth team of Group A in Prague had to suffer a loss of more than twenty points.
