Olympic silver medalist Vondroušová defeated her opponent from the qualification Tomovová in 75 minutes. She beat the Bulgarian for the second time in two months and again without losing a set.
In the second round, the former finalist of Roland Garros will face the Spaniard Rebeka Masárová, who, after progressing from the qualification, defeated the second-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrová from Russia 4:6, 6:1 and 7:6.
Nosková played in Linz for the first time as a member of the elite 50 in the world rankings, which she moved into after last week thanks to the quarter-finals in Lyon. The talented Czech started the season with her first participation in the final of the WTA Tour tournament in Adelaide.
Kateřina Siniaková will play in Linz on Wednesday, whose opponent will be the Romanian Irina-Camelia Beguová.
The first round, on the other hand, was final for Maria Bouzková, who did not manage a promising duel with Beatriz Haddadová Maia from Brazil. She lost to the tournament six 6:4, 3:6 and 0:6.
Plisková was originally supposed to play against Garbine Muguruza from Spain, who was replaced by Bonaventure at the last minute. And the thirty-year-old Czech did not give her Belgian opponent a chance.
She defeated her in 48 minutes and Jelena Rybakinová from Kazakhstan awaits her in the second round. With the finalist of this year's Australian Open and the winner of last year's Wimbledon, Plíšková has not lost a set in the two matches so far.
“I played a perfect match, especially I had a great serve,” said Plíšková in a televised interview on the court. “If I keep playing like this, anything can happen,” she added to the duel with the tournament's number three Rybakinová.
Krejčíková also managed the opening match without any problems. The first set was clearly a matter for the 27-year-old Czech, in the second at 4:4 she took Ruse's serve and ended the match with her own serve.
The next opponent of the 2021 Roland Garros winner will be the eighth-seeded player Ljudmila Samsonova. Krejčíková has not yet met the 24-year-old Russian on the WTA circuit.
The 24-year-old Bouzková managed to turn the first set from an unfavorable score of 1:3 and won it, but in the rest of the match she won only three games. With the currently fourteenth ranked tennis player in the world, she also lost the second mutual duel in three sets, and after Hobart and the Australian Open, she suffered her third defeat in a row in the season.
