Linz – Markéta Vondroušová flew to the quarterfinals of the indoor tournament in Linz in an hour. The Czech tennis player outclassed her opponent from the qualification Rebeka Masárová from Spain 6:1, 6:1 in the second round.

Olympic silver medalist and former Roland Garros finalist Vondroušová had the first match against the daughter of a Spaniard and a Slovak under control. She did not face a single break point, on the contrary, she created eleven break opportunities and converted five. During her serve, the Czech tennis player won 28 out of 35 exchanges.
Vondroušová, currently ranked 89th in the world, has already advanced to the quarterfinals in Adelaide this year, she also won two matches at the Australian Open Grand Slam. She will play for the first semifinal of the season on Friday against the winner of Thursday's duel between Hungarian Dalma Gálfiová and German Eva Lysová.
The world number one in doubles Kateřina Siniaková will not appear at the tournament due to injury. The 26-year-old Czech and winner of seven Grand Slams in doubles with Barbora Krejčíková was supposed to play in the first round today against Romanian Irina-Camelia Beguová, but she announced on Instagram that she sustained a minor injury in training.
“After much deliberation, we and the team decided to listen to the doctor's advice for me to undergo another examination and take it easy. Therefore, unfortunately, I will not be able to play this week,” said Siniaková. Her place in the spider was taken by Clara Tauson from Denmark.
