Football European Conference League draw in Lyon, Switzerland, March 17, 2023.
Nyon (Switzerland) – West Ham footballers Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček will face Gent in the quarter-finals of the European Conference League. Fiorentina, where another Czech representative Antonín Barák is active, will face Lech Poznaň. The first matches are scheduled for April 13, the return matches a week later. It was decided by the lottery in Nyon, Switzerland, which was in charge of European vice-champion and Champions League winner Vladimír Šmicer.

Souček and the currently injured Coufal can play against former Slavia teammate Michael Ngadeu. The Cameroonian defender joined Gent from the Vršovice club in the summer of 2019. West Ham have won all 10 of their Conference League matches this season, smoothly eliminating Larnaca in the round of 16 after winning 2-0 away and 4-0 at home.
Fiorentina faced Poznań in the Europa League group in autumn 2015. The Italian team then lost 1:2 at their stadium and won 2:0 in Poland. In Lech, Slovak goalkeeper Dominik Holec is visiting from Sparta, who fulfills the role of number two.
If West Ham advance to the semi-finals, they will face the winner of the Anderlecht – Alkmaar match. If Fiorentina succeeds, they will challenge Basel or Nice.
