The new emojis available in the beta version of iOS 14.2
Yesterday the beta version of iOS 14.2 was launched, the next update that will reach Apple mobiles, where a great variety of graphics appears. In total there are 117 new drawings: there are 62 new objects and 55 variants of emojis , where versions with different skin tone and gender are shown.
There are new gender variants in tuxedo and veil wearing emojis.
Among the new emojis are also Mx Claus (a gender-inclusive alternative to Santa Claus or Mrs Claus) and a variety of people who feed a baby from a bottle. You can also see a transgender flag, a feather and a seal.
Some of the emojis that had already been anticipated and can be seen are a ninja , a heart , lungs , a tamale and a Russian doll . Also added is the gesture of ” the Italian hand ” that shows a hand with the fingers joined as if taking a pinch of salt but upwards.
This is one of the new emojis that will be added this year.
The preview version of iOS 14.2 is now available for developers or those who have signed up for the beta program to test the updates in advance. It is estimated that they will reach the general public in October. The new emojis are also included in the latest beta version of MacOS Big Sur and should arrive in MacOS 11 Big Sur next month as well.
The official information was provided by Emojipedia, which is the body in charge of documenting the different emojis and their meanings. He is a member of the Unicode Consortium, an NGO responsible for the development and adoption of Unicode, an encoding standard designed to facilitate the transmission of texts in different languages.
All designs are part of Emoji 13.0, this year's list of emojis, which was announced in 2020. While graphics are approved by Unicode, the final form of those designs is decided by each vendor, so there may be small aesthetic variations in how an emoji looks on an Android device of one brand or another compared to what is seen on an iPhone, as well as on other equipment or platforms that have their own variants.
Changes in the design of the turtle.
In other words, the new emojis will also reach other operating systems but the aesthetics may vary. In fact, one of the novelties in the Android world is that Google will add old designs to the animals section of the Android 11 emoji keyboard, including the turtle and the frog. Now, the turtle will return with the aesthetic of 2013.
They are not the only animal graphics that will have a renewed aesthetic. The scorpion and pig will have a friendlier smile, the octopus will no longer have round eyes and staring, and the whale will incorporate more realistic detail , as anticipated in July.
This will be the new designs of the animals that will come to Android.
