Prague – President Petr Pavel published the plan for the first 100 days in office. For example, it nominates the first three candidates for Constitutional Court judges for approval by the Senate, convenes meetings with politicians, introduces a team of advisers or organizes a round table with representatives of the professional public and civil society on the topic of the cultural opening of the Castle. Pavlov's spokeswoman Eva Hromádková provided the plan to ČTK today.

Pavel said in a speech after taking the presidential oath that he would publish a plan of specific goals for the first 100 days in office. The so-called 100 days of defense after taking office would not be his own, he would rather be criticized for an overly active start, he said.

The plan is divided into eight areas. The first of them is that Pavel wants to open the Castle to the public. “I will relax security measures to the maximum extent that the police will allow, so that they correspond to the current risk assessment,” he said. He wants to organize negotiations regarding the cultural opening of the presidential residence. He will also negotiate with architects and experts on the revitalization of the Castle and its surroundings, and he will also appoint an external consultant.

In terms of communication, Pavel will introduce regular briefings for the media, review communication channels, and expand the team to include experts in social networks and digital communications. At the same time, he wants to modernize the president's website and prepare a communication strategy aimed at the young generation with the aim of deepening their interest in politics and social issues.

Another area concerns compliance with the rules in the Office of the President of the Republic (KPR). Among other things, Pavel wants to start the necessary inspections in the KPR and both contributory organizations, to prevent wasteful handling of public money, to introduce an organizational change in the office or, after receiving the final report of the Supreme Audit Office (NAO) on previous audits, to ensure the introduction of recommended measures.

Pavel also announces that he will invite Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) and the leader of the strongest opposition party, i.e. the head of the ANO movement, Andrej Babiš, to regular meetings. He wants to convene a meeting to set up regular meetings with representatives of the coalition and the opposition regarding the pension reform, as well as a meeting of top constitutional officials and Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský (Pirates) to coordinate foreign policy.

The President will also introduce a team of advisers in the fields of economy, energy, pension reform, constitutional law, environment, social policy and education.

Pavel is scheduled to visit all neighboring countries. He was in Slovakia this week and is currently in Poland, leaving for Germany next week. He will also go to Ukraine in April. He will also meet with the highest representatives of the EU and NATO.

In the first 100 days, he will visit the Moravian-Silesian Region and also two other regions. It will create a team of experts for relations with regions, local communities and civil society. At the same time, Pavel wants to present the process of selecting candidates for the positions of constitutional judges and nominate the first three candidates for approval by the upper chamber of the Parliament.
