Černý had a successful season in the Dutch league, in which he collected 13 goals and 11 assists. He helped Twente to fifth place in the regular season and progress to the playoffs for the European Conference League, which his team will play on Sunday.

The 25-year-old native of Příbram has spent his entire career so far in the Netherlands. Already in his youth, he went to Ajax, for which he did not play much due to a serious knee injury. He left for Utrecht in 2019 and moved to Twente a year later, first on loan and transferred to the club the year before. The nine-time Czech international has a contract in Enschede until 2025.
