Their game would have allowed them to pocket thousands of euros in a few weeks. Two employees of a bakery in Buc (Yvelines), aged 25 and 44, are suspected of having kept a slush fund to embezzle cash payments. It’s the director of trade who carried complaint after noticing a hole in its turnover, reports 78 Actu.
They shared the money at the end of the day
Very quickly, the investigation confirmed his suspicions. The two women would have put in place a simple method to embezzle a hundred euros a day since last June: they did not register certain payments in cash and placed the money in an envelope ;they were shared at the end of the day.
The police estimate the amount of damage to 7,500 euros for the bakery. During the searches, the investigators seized 900 euros in cash from the oldest. The suspects would have admitted the facts and were summoned to court.
