Russia will require Ukraine to provide the bill on the special status of Donbass
Saturday, July 4, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that from Ukraine no one can demand anything in the international arena, including the adoption of the law on the special status of Donbass, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC.
He said this at a briefing during the opening of the renovated stadium of school No. 1 in the South in the Odessa region.
“First, no one from the Ukraine can not demand anything, we are an independent country. I think that all need to work on rhetoric. Moreover, it is an international rhetoric,” he said.
Earlier, the German magazine Spiegel wrote that the Kremlin at the meeting of political advisers will require Ukraine until July 6 to submit the draft law on approval of the special status of Donbass in the Constitution.
As previously reported, Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, the special status of the occupied Donbass is possible, but without the right to veto any national decision.
We will note, following the meeting of political advisers to the leaders of “Norman Quartet” the Russian side stated that to speak of a breakthrough in talks on Donbas is unlikely.
