“The Ukrainian president reported on his recent diplomatic activities in Brussels and other European capitals, the talks also touched on security in the region,” writes the office of the Polish president.
The Office for International Policy at the Office of the Polish President then informs that Duda and Zelenskyi discussed the current situation on the front line and the need for further joint actions for the military support of the attacked country. Ukraine has been resisting Russian military aggression for almost a year, and Kyiv has been expecting Moscow to expand and intensify the offensive for some time.
In Rzeszów, which is located near the border with Ukraine, the two presidents also met last December. Zelenskyi was returning from the United States at the time, which was his first foreign trip since the Russian invasion of his country.
This week, Zelenskyi visited London, Paris and Brussels, where he met, among other things, with top officials. In Brussels, he asked the leaders of the EU countries for faster deliveries of weapons, including fighter jets, or for the start of talks on Ukraine's accession to the European Union this year.
