Only 11 days remain for the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup and a new star could be left out of the contest. This is Sadio Mané, who suffered an injury while playing a game with his team, Bayern Munich, and which could mean several weeks of recovery.
Everything happened 20 minutes into the match between the Bavarian team and Werder Bremenfor the Bundesliga, when Mané asked for the change. Although at first the club believed that it was a minor injury, the French newspaper L’Equipe reported that the Senegalese striker would miss the World Cup due to a major ailment “in a tendon”, which would require several weeks of recovery.

“It is a hard blow for the Senegalese team. Sadio Mané will not play in the World Cup”, assured the outlet.
“The former Liverpool player actually suffers from a tendon and is expected to be miss several weeks of competition. The Senegal coach, Aliou Cissé, must announce his list of players who will go to Qatar on Friday,” he explained.
