Nedeljkovic’s statements come within days of BMW’s proclamations that it wanted to significantly increase the production of electric vehicles in the Dingolfing plant, which accounted for more than a tenth of its total production last year. The automaker said it produced more than 18,000 electric cars at the site last year, or about 8% of production, adding that the share will double to 16% in 2021.
