There are 61 municipalities that maintain debts at the national level with the General Electricity Company and in the region there are five communes in this situation: Concepción, Chiguayante, Coronel, Penco and The Angels.

Following the supply suspension notice that was sent to mayors and councilors, the members of the Association of Municipalities went to the company’s offices and met with Óscar Facusse, the company’s regional manager, who ruled out supply cuts.
