When talking about haircuts, many people tend to refer to some of their favorite characters, whether they are actresses, actors or celebrities from various fields. However, one childwent a few steps further anddecided to ask them to do the look of Miguel Hidalgo, who is considered as the “Father of the Nation” for having been the forerunner of the armed uprising that ended up giving Mexico independence.

Although at first glance it might seem like a great memorial to a historical man, it should be noted that Miguel Hidalgo, being an older man, had baldness in a large part of his head, so the minor knew that it would be a radical change in his appearance.

It was through TikTok, where a relative of the young man showed the moment in which that he decided to go to his trusted hairdresser and give his hair a historic style.

“My brother wanted Miguel Hidalgo’s cut”, wrote user Diego Ayala (@ayaladiego29).

Thus, in the short clip you can see a little boy who is smiling at the camera, while sitting in a beauty salon waiting for his change in appearance.

Later the boy is seen already at home with the peculiar haircut, while other people observe him, but, without a doubt, the saddest moment was when the minor appeared shortly after, crying loudly because of how he looked.

The video that quickly reached more than 800 thousand views was filled with comments from Internet users, who did not hesitate to laugh at the situation and make some jokes about it.

“He cried for his country”. “He cried out in pain.” “Like when you ask for Miguel Hidalgo’s and they leave you Gargamel’s.” “Cry with rights”. “He gave the cry of freedom”. “They made him the Chupirul”, were some of the mentions in this social network.

As for the story of Mexico, it is good to remember that it was the morning of September 16, 1810, when the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, in the company of Ignacio Allende and Juan Aldama, ran with a banner in hand to the Parroquia de Dolores in the now state of Hidalgo. He energetically rang the bells of the church where he was officiating Mass and called for the people to rise up in arms.

Since then, the figure of the white-haired priest has been remembered. He became one of the most prominent characters in Mexican history, and a hero of the Independence of Mexico.

Sin However, investigations around his figure have demystified the combatant. His idealized image as an incorruptible cleric and benefactor has changed over time as more information becomes available about him.

A long time ago it became known that Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, before leading the war in 1810, was not a priest like everyone else.Eugenio Aguirre, a writer, has dedicated a large part of his life to studying the enigmatic figure of the priest.

In his story he found that he was a wealthy man, with more than one girlfriend and at least five children. He liked wine, theater and bullfights. He had a very active social life and his relationship with the inhabitants of the city of Dolores was more that of friends than that of a priest with his apostles.

According to Aguirre, Hidalgo’s position against the Spanish crown began when their wealth began to decline due to the imposition of taxes. “Hidalgo never sought conspiracy, he never sought insurgent struggle”, states the writer in his book Hidalgo, between virtue and vice.

It was another group of people who planned independence. They looked for the priest because of his proximity to different social strata but, above all, to rich and powerful men who could perhaps join the fight.
