CONSENSUS Final declaration calls for “rapid” reduction in greenhouse gas emissions

The negotiations will have been tight but the consensus is there. The UN climate conference adopted early this Sunday morning a final declaration calling for a “fast” gas emissions at greenhouse effect and reaffirming the objective of limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.

The final resolution of this COP27 held at Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, had been criticized by some parties as not being ambitious enough, but it has been adopted after a final marathon day of negotiations.
