Covid, anesthetists: “Over 90% of ICU patients are not vaccinated”

“We often talk about intensive care – continues Petrini – but even those in semi-intensive care have medium-severe symptoms with consequences such as pulmonary fibrosis, and if these patients are of advanced age they risk compromising various organs and systems. For this reason it is even more important that people who are not yet immunized are convinced and get the vaccine “.

“At the moment we are traveling with slightly increasing numbers, but there is no stress of the most difficult months and this is a success of vaccines”, Petrini said again, taking stock of the situation of intensive care in Italy. “We are ardent supporters of carpet vaccination so I would not be surprised if we went in this direction and we appreciated, in this sense, the words of Speranza and Draghi”, continues Petrini. “Vaccines in the past have eradicated many diseases and I do not see why today they cannot be used to get out of this pandemic”, suggests the president of Siaarti.
