Over 7 million coronavirus infections in Russia, where 18,645 new cases of covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours and 793 deaths from complications. The Russian health authorities have in fact updated the total number of infections since the outbreak of the pandemic to 7,012,599, while the overall death toll has risen to 187,200.
The toll of the Russian state statistical service Rosstat is higher, which keeps a different count of cases and victims according to which in August there were 365,000 people who died from Covid or related causes in total.
