The covid-19 pandemic forced state authorities to suspend all kinds of massive act to prevent the third wave of infections from continuing to grow.
That is why on Wednesday, September 15, the Commemorative Ceremony of the CCXI Anniversary of the Cry of Independence will be held at the Government Palace and on Thursday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. there will be the formal ceremony at the Stairway of the Heroes from Tlaxcala capital.

This would be the ssecond year in a row that the traditional “Cry of Independence” is suspended; in 2020 the then governor Marco Antonio Mena Rodríguez canceled the festivities due to the increase in infections and the number of deaths from the new disease.
At this time the state of Tlaxcala is in orange color at the National Epidemiological traffic light, the deaths have not stopped and the infections are still valid.
Just to mention, this weekend the State Health Secretariat reported four deaths and 144 positive cases. In accumulated, 14 thousand 112 people have recovered, 22 thousand 885 have tested positive and 2 thousand 620 have died.
