The Minister of Tourism, David Collado announced The opening of new routes between Colombia and the Dominican Republic, in the midst of the meetings held in that nation to increase the flow of Colombian tourists to this country.

“¡ news for our tourism! We held an important meeting with Daniel Fajardo, Vice President of the Route Network of @Avianca, who guaranteed us the opening of more routes from Colombia to the DR, and from other Latin American countries to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo” highlighted Collado on Twitter.

Upon his arrival in Colombia, he announced which would be more than nine  Meetings with the main travel agencies and tour operators in Colombia and Ecuador.

Collado  spoke of the agreement you signed with the  Colombian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (Anato), where he committed himself. because in the largest tourist event in that nation called “La showcase Anato 2023”,  the Dominican Republic will be the partner country.

This motivates more and more that “tourism actors to  continue to sell the Dominican destination as the favorite of Colombians & rdquo ;. Anato’s showcase takes place in the month of February each year and is the most important tourist event in Colombia.

He said that Colombia is the third country of the continent in emission of tourists to the Dominican Republic, after the United States and Canada, “and for that reason it is our first visit to tell the tourism players in Colombia how we managed to recover our sector in record time after a pandemic like the that we have lived in the last two years.”

Low cost line

Another important meeting was with the line Low-cost airline Wingo to continue promoting back visitors from this airline to the island.
