The new story arc of Dragon ball super introduced a new villain: Granolah. This warrior has proven to be much stronger than what Goku, Vegeta and company thought, to the point that our heroes will be required to learn new techniques in order to defeat him. But where did its authors draw inspiration to create it?
In a new interview published by the official site of Dragon ball it was revealed that actually Granolah was designed by Toyotaro, while Akira toriyama was the one who created the Heeters, the criminal syndicate that is seeking to manipulate Cerealin to eliminate the empire of Freeza and that in this way they can seize it.
Toyotaro said that for Granolah he opted for a more “western” design that would give him a certain bounty hunter / survivor look, while at the same time he wanted to have certain visuals implanted into the character to make him look like a sniper. Additionally, the artist shared that Granolah It should have a futuristic look, but not much, so he considered that using an art type steampunk it was the best decision for your design.
