Before talking to you about the volume, a very brief historical premise is necessary. DIEN BIEN PHU is set during the Vietnam war which began in 1955 and ended twenty years later in 1975, taking place, for most of the conflict, in the territory of South Vietnam. The pro-communist insurgent forces and the government forces of the so-called Republic of Vietnam clashed, also seeing an important participation of the United States of America.
