Western officials fear that ISIS will seek to shoot down one of the military transport planes evacuating foreigners and Afghans with stolen missiles.
ISIS militants have fought battles against the Taliban in recent years, in search of a foothold in Afghanistan, after the collapse of their alleged caliphate in Iraq and Syria.
It seems that ISIS wants to embarrass the Taliban at this stage by launching an attack that will shake their image before the international community.
