G20, Bassi (Un.Trieste): “All-Italian technology in quantum communication”

There is the “made in Italy brand” at the basis of the first international anti-hacker quantum communication demonstration conducted today in Trieste, in the scientific stage of the G20. “It is an all-Italian technology born from basic research conducted in our country” explained the professor Angelo Bassi, of the Physics Department of the University of Trieste, conversing with Adnkronos guest on “Ma che è questo estate” hosted by Laura Bettini on Radio24.

“Italy puts its mark in this demonstration in two things: first of all on the technology which is all Italian and was developed by Alessandro Zavatta who leads the Quantum Communications group of the National Institute of Optics of the CNR and we will show him today in Trieste “explained Bassi.”Italy therefore – added the physicist – is at the forefront of technological development also in the field of quantum communication“.

“However, Italy is also responsible for organizational development“and the international demonstration of the first anti-hacker quantum communication”it is the beginning of the development of a European secure communication network and we do it in Italy as promoters “explained Bassi again.
