During a city council by videoconference, Gérard Collomb, has insulted an elected municipal. The mayor of Lyon had forgotten that his microphone was on.
Atmosphere more tense in Lyon. Thinking no one could hear, the mayor of Lyon has insulted publicly elected to the municipal council of the city. The scene took place at a meeting on Thursday 7 may. While the mayor of Lyon was convened by videoconference, containment forces, the whole of the city Council of the city, the former Interior minister has forgotten that his microphone was open while an elected official of the opposition was speaking. In front of his computer, the elected then pestered : “But she is stupid !“.
This insult was aimed Myriam Picot, the mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Lyon. In her statement, she regretted opening that is considered too late of city markets and the non-consideration of the elected representatives of the district. After the insulting, the one who was called His Highness sénilissime during his time in government has come back in saying : “But no ! But… she did not even listening !“. Before adding : “It really is a…“. The elected has not reacted directly, continuing his statement.
Yesterday, in Lyon,the city council by visio, the mayor of the 7th arrondissement,Myriam Picot is expressed on the markets remained closed during the containment.

These comments have sparked a strong outcry among the elected opposition. As shown in LyonMag, the chosen one was required “as a minimum an apology made in the federal public of the upcoming city council“. “Your words, which constitute an offence to insult the public against a citizen in charge of a public office, fall under the purview of the criminal law“, she added. A public outcry forcing Gérard Collomb to react. “I apologize of course with Myriam Picot – that I wanted to join in by phone – for this call, which was inappropriate and which does not correspond to what I think of this elected”, is it justified, while recalling that he had asked him to be Mayor of the 7th district and that he had entrusted to the Metropolis, and the delegation to the culture. An old ally of Gérard Collomb, the chosen one had joined the camp of David Kimelfeld and Georges Képénékian for the municipal elections.
