After several months of having seen Grettell Valdez without the company of her husband, Leo Clerc, her followers asked her if she had separated, to which the actress was sincere and confirmed that they are divorced. The couple would have separated after it became known that he was found guilty of a millionaire fraud.
Grettell used to share photos with her husband on her social networks, whom she married in 2018, but for at least a year little was known about him. Months before, she had commented that the relationship was fine, but things would have changed since the beginning of 2021.
During a dynamic of questions and answers that Valdez made through his account of Instagram, her followers asked her about her marriage and she, directly, replied: “What you see is not asked” and added: “Yes, divorced, happy, always positive.”

The actress commented that For a year and a half he has not seen Clerc, who had been going through a complicated situation with the law of his country for months before.
Despite the fact that she had previously been hermetic about her love life, throughout the question session, Grettell this time shared with her followers some tips to overcome a love breakup.
“Cry what you have to cry. Do therapy because sometimes you just can’t. I’ve been alone for two years now and the truth is that I love and love myself. I have fun with myself,” she said.

It was in July 2020 when it came to light that Leo Clerc was found guilty of committing fraud, falsification of titles and money laundering, for which he was sentenced to up to 18 months in prison in his native Switzerland.
At that time, Grettell confessed that She had been aware of the situation for a long time, since they would have been crimes that he committed during his youth, more than 10 years ago.
Valdez assured that she trusted her husband completely and expected him to make amends for her crimes.
“I fully trust my husband and I also believe in second chances (…) He is doing everything to make up for the mistake he made. I think we all are worthy of second chances in all aspects”, he shared through his social networks.

As revealed Windowing, the fraud would have been committed using credit cards that belonged to the Swiss transnational company where Clerc worked as an accountant. The money was used by Leo and his ex-partner to be able to travel to different countries like Morocco, Polynesia, Thailand, Milan, Venice, Japan, China, Greece, Cannes and Maldives.
When the facts were revealed, Leo shared through a statement that he regretted this situation and repented of the crimes he had committed. He called the fraud a “mistake” of his youth and assured that he was doing everything possible to make it right.
Supposedly, the figure involved in the crimes would amount to < b>1 million 700 thousand Swiss francs, the equivalent of 41 million 470 thousand 725 Mexican pesos, of which at that time it had only been able to return approximately 1 million pesos.
So that Clarc could recover part of the money, he dedicated himself to working in Switzerland, where he would have withdrawn his passport so that he would not leave the country. In fact, the last time Grettell shared news about her then-husband was that he would spend the 2020 December holidays in Mexico, since he had managed to obtain special permission to do so.
