Too simple combinations or words
The French didn’t invent anything; in terms of password. They have no more imagination than their Spanish, Canadian or Slovak counterparts. In France, as in these countries, “123456” is the most common password. In second position, we find a variant that will not pose more problems for the user. a hacker: “123456789”. The easy “ azerty ” completes the podium. If we’re having fun typing further on the keyboard, we get “azertyuiop”, in fifth position, just behind “1234561”.
If we stick to the top 10, the ranking continues with “avf2013”, “loulou”, “”000000”, “password” and “doudou”. We are also entitled to; a darling in 19th position. Beyond combinations of numbers and letters, we point to simple names like “sun” (14th), “””horse” (17th) or “ hello” (18th).
Do not reuse passwords
If “password ” is the most used password. all countries combined, it comes in 9th position in our country. It places itself in front of its French translation “ motdepasse” in 13th position. À note the presence of a city, Marseille, in 11th position. Sometimes users use their own first or last name to secure an account. The three most used first names are: Camille (24th), Nicolas (25th) and Thomas (31st).
NordPass gives advice on how to better secure its accounts. The manager recommends long and complex passwords, and never to reuse them. Otherwise, a hacker can obtain the combination of an email and an associated password. and apply the formula on multiple websites.
