Just over a week and the new Hyundai Elantra N will be presented as a world premiere. Waiting for the official unveiling to take place, set for July 14th in South Korea, Hyundai has released a new, perhaps the last, video teaser that anticipates a series of details of the new Elantra N: in addition to the silhouette of the car and some acronyms scattered on the body of the car, to capture the attention is the sound that will be unleashed by the engine hidden under the hood, which will offer high performance in N style.
What will this high performance be? Hyundai at the moment has not yet expressed itself officially, but the latest rumors reported by Carscoops they point out that a 2.0-liter turbo engine will deliver the maximum power of 275 hp on the Elantra N. Not only that: in combination, customers can opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. It is not the first time that Hyundai anticipates the N variant of its sedan through teaser videos: only a few days ago on the official channels of the Korean brand a clip had appeared that mentioned the track of the Nurburgring, to understand if Hyundai intends to announce a new record obtained on the German circuit or if it simply symbolized that the development of the car had also taken place on that track.
Hyundai Elantra N, first official teasers
About the acronyms that adorn the bodywork of Elantra N that appeared in the latest video teaser, Hyundai obviously did not specify what they refer to, much less what their meaning is: given their location mainly in the front and in the rear, one would think that it may be technological systems which will have the driver available, from the initials ELSD which could suggest that the car will have an electronic limited slip differential at the ETM which could symbolize an electronic traction management system.
