Minister Onyx Lorenzoni (Labor and Welfare) used the conservatively-oriented CPAC Brazil congress with a platform to convene protests on September 7 in support of President Jair Bolsonaro. Onyx made the opening speech at the event this Friday, March 3, and echoed an authoritarian slogan that alludes to the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the target of the revolt of the president’s supporters. The minister also criticized the Court.
“On the 7th, we’re all going to the streets, we’ll wear green and yellow, show the orderly people, our families, take our sons and daughters by the hand, take our grandparents, our grandchildren, let’s take our soul and our heart through the streets of Brazil so that it is very clear that the Brazilian people are supreme”, said Onyx. “No person, however great his arrogance, his arrogance, however much his fearlessness toward God, can think that he is above good and evil.”
