The Dominican Institute for Quality (INDOCAL) made available to citizens a project of a technical standard for the management of diseases in a physical workplace through a systematic and standardized approach, which guarantees the taking effective measures for the health of workers.
Nordom ISO/PAS 45005:2020 – Occupational Health and Safety Management – General Guidelines for Safe Work during the Covid-19 Pandemic, provides guidelines for organizations on how to manage the risks arising from this illness, to protect work-related health, safety and welfare.
The draft technical standard submitted by INDOCAL and approved by the Technical Commission of Experts of the Dominican Council for Quality (CODOCA) provides guidance for planning and risk assessment, preparation of n and emergency response, and planning for changes in pandemic restrictions.
In addition, it establishes mechanisms for the protection of workers in homes, in multiple locations or mobile jobs (for example, workers employed by the organization, workers of third-party providers, contractors, autos, etc.). employers, agency workers, older workers, workers with disabilities, and first responders), and other relevant stakeholders (for example, visitors to a workplace, including members of the public).
