The leader of France Insubordinate, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, has decided to open a chain Twitch from this Friday, may 29.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon, or the digital. The leader of France Insubordinate is going to usher in a channel on Twitch, a broadcast platform video for the spread of video games played live, on Friday, may 29. And just to stay in the theme, it was not announced in the traditional way, but in a video on his Youtube channel and on its social networks. Actually quite logical for one who had done the meetings in the form of a hologram.

This string, called Twitchons, will be devoted to sessions of questions and answers live on the political news. The first session is scheduled for 18h on Friday 29 may. Jean-Luc Mélenchon explained this decision by the desire to better understand the issues of the digital : “The people that it is in there interest me and are first in line to understand the digital universe”. Jean-Luc Mélenchon has even kept a count of the number of subscribers on his channel Twitch skyrocketing after his announcement, including with photos on his Twitter account.

An original initiative

The leader of deputies BIA has also said in the video released on its Youtube channel : “are there any among you who know that if you play video games. There are the fools who believe that it is a trick of the feeble-minded.

It is in any case an interesting strategy to appeal to an electorate young and having grown up with the digital that to register on this platform where we are more used to seeing streamers play live at Fortnite, Call of Duty, or Apex Legends.

This is the first political figure to be major to offer this kind of initiatives, which enables Jean-Luc Mélenchon both stand out and to be close to its supporters, logic that fits in with its desire not to appear as all the other members of the political domain, but on the contrary, close to voters and their concerns.
