This Thursday Luis Suárez officially said goodbye to Barcelona , after closing his transfer to Atlético de Madrid . The forward spoke in the press room to tell his feelings about his disengagement from the Barça team and hours later he published a video on his social networks aimed at the culé fans.
“From the first day I arrived, I was fulfilling a dream, to wear the Barcelona shirt”, the Uruguayan begins by recounting the clip of just over two minutes in which he reviews some of his achievements in the Catalan club he arrived at in June 2014.
In just over six years he became the third highest scorer in the history of the institution with 198 shouts, thus lagging behind his great friend Lionel Messi (634) and César Rodríguez (232). They also won four Leagues , four King’s Cups, two Spanish Super Cups, a Champions League, a European Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
“It is something that I never imagined, but it is a dream that I have lived and enjoyed a lot,” he says about his successful stage that ended this Thursday.

The Uruguayan striker arrives at Atlético de Madrid to occupy the place left up front by Álvaro Morata , who left on loan to Juventus . After six years as Messi’s squire in the Barça attack, Suárez will now have the Spanish-Brazilian Diego Costa as a partner.
