Growing in popularity over the years, the MCU is certainly jam-packed; of humour, but he also knew how to increase the dramatic tension over the course of his productions. The pinnacle of this phenomenon is undoubtedly the incredible Avengers: Endgame, released in 2019. the end of an era and more specifically of Phase III, with the final fight between Thanos and the Avengers. Today, the Avengers are no more,the different characters who were members and who survived having more or less each gone their own way. With the introduction of new superheroes in the MCU Phase IV,we expect find a new version of the famous team, full of new faces. But some forgotten characters from the first phases would also deserve to be part of it. In this case, we think of; Hope Van Dyne, aka the Wasp, first appeared in 2015 in Ant-Man.
Because if < strong>she plays a particularly minor role in the movies(despite appearing alongside the Avengers against Thanos),his mother figures much more prominently in the comics.We thus already found there; Janet van Dyne, a former Wasp herself, as a powerful and courageous superhero, having even become the leader of the Avengers in the early 1980s, while those- they were joined by many new members. But since it is his daughter, Hope, who has taken over in the MCU, it would be logical to make her a more central character in the story, even if it means losing her. turn her into a supervillain.
The Wasp, supervillain or future member of the Avengers?
Car in the comics , Hope Van Dyne is a superheroine who turns sour after the death of her parents,for which she holds the Avengers responsible. An attractive pitch that we do not necessarily see make its way to the MCU, with Marvel Studios seeming to focus its efforts on the perils of the multiverse instead.
Besides, the character interpreted to the screen by Evangeline Lilly actually did not much to do; see with the comics version.In the MCU, she seems to aspire to being as – if not more – heroic than his mother, but his presence in the two Ant-Man films and his brief appearance in Endgame< /em> haven’t allowed him to express his full potential so far. em> scheduled for February 15, 2023. If it’s probably not for right away, imagining her joining a new team of Avengers would in any case finally allow her to prove herself, she who has already côtoyé the old team for a few scenes, but also in reality. alternative in episode 5 of What if…?, in which she had this time played; a leading role in the face of hordes of zombies.
As for; Whether Hope van Dyne/the Wasp will actually get a chance to join the Avengers (potentially under the command of Doctor Strange), will probably take a few years to find out.  ;
