Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the new strategy developed by Firaxis, was one of the prominent protagonists of Gamescom 2021. In the game we will play the role of an unreleased hero, who we will be able to customize and socialize with other Marvel characters, but without being able to create love affairs.
As we know, players will play the role of “The Hunter”, an original hero whose abilities but also physical appearance can be completely customized. With such a high level of customization, some fans have wondered if there will be a relationship system in Marvel’s Midnight Suns, with maybe the option to go beyond just friendship.

The answer comes in an interview with IGN with creative director Jake Solomon. For the occasion, the developer of Firaxis explained that it will not be possible to undertake love affairs, but that it will still be possible to forge bonds with other characters “however deep a friendship may be”. In short, if you were hoping to be able to breach the heart of Magik or Iron Man, you will be disappointed. On the other hand, you can become gruel with Wolverine.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S during the course of summer 2022 and will be included in the Xbox Game Pass from launch. If you haven’t done so yet, we recommend that you read our preview of the new Firaxis strategy.
