New Fiat 500 Red, special series features

Fiat, Jeep and Ram have partnered with (RED) pledging to donate, between 2021 and 2023, at least 4 million dollars in support of the important work carried out by Global Fund in fight against pandemics, including AIDS and the COVID-19.

RED was founded in 2006 and is a project co-founded by Bono Vox of U2 born to fight against viruses and pandemics in Africa. Versions are born from this beneficial collaboration 500 RED, available on the whole 500 family, from electric to crossover 500X: New (500) RED, (500) RED, (500X) RED and (500L) RED.

Fiat 500 RED special series, characteristics

The cars of the new Fiat 500 RED special version are characterized by the Red, present on the bodywork and on many external and internal elements. Outside the red as well as on the bodywork is present on the logos, in the mirror caps and in some details on the rims.

Inside the cockpit, the dashboard strip, the details of the overmats and the seats made using the yarn are red. “Seaqual” derived from plastic recovered from the oceans, with the Fiat signed and the logo (500) RED on the backrest).

However, red is not the only color of the special series (RED), in fact for the body there are other specific colors for each model.

All models in the (500) RED Family are equipped with a air filter treated with a highly effective biocidal substance (> 99.9%) against viruses and bacteria, able to prevent re-aerosolization inside the passenger compartment. In addition, the surfaces of some elements of the interior, such as the steering wheel, the seats and the interior of the trunk have received a antimicrobial treatment highly effective (up to 99.9% depending on the components) against viruses and bacteria.

Each car of the (500) RED Family is accompanied by a Welcome Kit which includes a dispenser for disinfectant gel and the dedicated key cover.

Fiat 500 RED electric, hybrid, petrol and diesel

The new Fiat 500) RED electric is available in two bodies, hatchback and convertible with black hood, and with two ranges of autonomy: an e-motor with 70 kW from 95 hp with autonomy up to 190 km (WLTP cycle) and one of 87 kW from 118 hp and autonomy up to 320 km (WLTP cycle).

The thermal version of the Fiat 500, on the other hand, is based on the set-up Sweet life with engine 70 hp mild-hybrid 1.0 hybrid.

There (500X) RED instead it is version based Cross and is available in both hatchback and open air versions with soft-top Black turtleneck. The car is available in two engines a Firefly gasoline one-liter and 120 hp and 1.3-liter 150 hp and two Multijet diesel 1.3-liter 95 bhp and 1.6 130 bhp.

In the end Fiat 500L RED it is available with engines Euro 6D-Final petrol from 1.4 liters and 95 hp or 95 bhp 1.3 Multijet turbodiesel.
