The Dutch Grand Prix once again highlighted Fernando Alonso’s talent and driving skills, with the Spaniard able to take sixth place after a comeback from ninth place on the grid. The Asturian also managed to outclass his Ferrari compatriot Carlos Sainz during the final laps of the race, thus obtaining valuable points for him and for the team.
The same Alpine coming out of Zandvoort again with a double placement in points, made possible also thanks to the ninth place ofEsteban Ocon. In fact, the Frenchman crossed the finish line once again in the top ten, but lost one position compared to the one he won yesterday in qualifying. In any case, the result of the transalpine testifies once again the developments and the moment of form of the Alpine, increasingly threatening for the competition even in the constructors’ championship.
Regarding the personal performance on the track that crowned Max Verstappen as the absolute winner, the winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix analyzed his performance with these statements: “It was an eventful race – commented number 31 – and I’m happy to have scored points today. The start was a bit confusing, but I felt comfortable in the midst of those battles. From our point of view we could have finished with a position or two higher in the standings, but we weren’t lucky in the face of certain circumstances, on all blue flags displayed at the least opportune moment. In any case – added Ocon – as a team we have shown that we have a good pace throughout the weekend, and we are satisfied with it ”.
Finally, the Frenchman concluded by highlighting the importance of winning points continuously, relaunching the challenge at Monza: “AND essential to get points for the constructors’ championship – he specified – and now we move to Italy with the intention of repeating ourselves. Last year we were very competitive here and our goal is always to get as many points as possible ”.
