The well-known Dutch investigative journalist Peter R. de Vries died after the attack on him, according to media reports. “Peter fought to the end, but he lost the fight,” said his family in a message published by RTL on Thursday. The 64-year-old was gunned down on the street in Amsterdam last week and was critically injured.
