It is “an ambitious approach that goes in the right direction”, for the automotive industry, said Monday on franceinfo Francis Bartholomew, national president of the CNPA (conseil national des professions de l’automobile).
franceinfo : does this plan satisfy you ?
Francis Bartholomew : The CNPA welcomes the fact that the government maintains an ambitious approach in the framework of the economic recovery and environmentally friendly for the whole sector. There has been an evolution. No one would have believed that we would reach the quota of 200 000 cars. We have therefore requested the continuation of the plan of conversion and this is what we got.
This will be enough to cushion the effects of the crisis on the sector ?
In a first step, this will not offset what it has been losing for two months and a half. But for the morale and to give a meaning to our result 2020, this is going in the right direction. Unlike the first, this second plan will address a smaller number of motorists since the income tax reference will be lowered to 13 000 euros. For the general principle found the idea of the conversion premium for vehicles which are vehicles all-electric, plug-in hybrid vehicles, but also the thermal. This adaptation will allow motorists who have the least financial means to benefit from this bonus to the conversion.
What happens if we want to change our car ?
If you have just purchased an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid just to have an income reference that is less than 13 489 euros for the benefit of the premium. If you have an income of less than eur 6 300 the bonus can go up to 5 000 euros.
