The Silk Way Rally will take place in Omsk. The sports truck race starts on Thursday, July 1, NTV reports.
The rally participants will ride across the steppes from Siberia to the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator. Due to the pandemic, the organizers of the competition had to delete the Chinese section of the route from the route, but despite this, 90 crews from 30 countries will take part in the rally.
The route is divided into ten stages. Before the start of each of them, riders, engineers, mechanics and organizers will stop at a daily parking lot.
The TV channel clarifies that this year, for the first time, seven crews of the KamAZ-master team are preparing to enter the track. The car of Russian Sergey Kupriyanov turned out to be the only sports truck in the world that runs on methane.
