Warner Bros. Discovery recently unveiled a first visual of the spin-off intended for to the adults of the cult Scooby-Doo series. on a very specific character from the cartoon, and should give pride of place to; nudity and blood as highlighted in a first preview of the series.

Scooby-Doo like you’ve never seen it before!
During the last e ;event dated Warner Bros. Discovery, the seriesVelma (the title in its original version) was revealed to the public. This spin-off, directed by Mindy Kaling (The Office), will take the form of an animated series, based on a thousand leagues from this & what Scooby-Doo we were used to, with content and humor anything but family.

Velma is intended for to to be distributed; on the HBO Max platform. As its name suggests, the series will focus on the character of Véra Dinkley (Velma in VO) and will focus on ; her story before she joined Mystère et Compagnie.
A controversial spin-off
A first image of the show has been unveiled by Mindy Kaling, who really seems to care about this project. In addition to her role as executive producer, the actress will have the heavy task of playing Véra in the series. In the one and only image made public, we can see our investigator facing the mutilated body. of a young girl found in a locker room. Behind her, naked spectators watch the scene in awe.
HBO Max has announced; last February the project and described it as an adult comedy.In the wake of the reveal of the first visual, Scooby-Doo fans reacted. While some seem delighted to see this series project come to fruition, others criticize the choice to portray Véra with South Asian origins.
Remember that this is not the first time that Vera has been described as originating from an Asian country, to the image of what has been done in Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Begins or Scooby-Doo and the Lake Monster. the character is portrayed as having South Asian ancestry.
