On November 12, 2018, the world of hero movies was shocked after the news of the unfortunate death of creative genius, Stanley Martin Lieber, better known as Stan Lee, the man who co-created Marvel Comics. However, and after a long pause after his death, the image of the iconic designer could return to the big screens.
A fact that has become a routine tribute since before Disney acquired < i>Marvel to create his Movie Universe (MCU) were his iconic cameos in Spider-Man, X- Men, The Fantastic Four; until his first appearance within the company directed by Kevin Feige, in Iron Man (2008) and his last appearance in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Just a few hours ago, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios entered into a commercial agreement with Genius Brands International and POW!, which will allow them to make use of Stan Lee’s image in future movies and streaming productions (Disney+ ), as well as at Disney theme parks, video games and many more.

“This deal really ensures that Stan, through digital technology and stock footage and other forms, will live in the most important place, the movies. from marvel and the Disney theme parks. It’s a broad deal,” Genius Brands CEO and President Andy Heyward reported.
“The audience revered to Stan and if it’s done with taste and class, and with respect for who he was, it will be welcome. He is a beloved personality and long after you and I are gone, he will continue to be the essence of Marvel”, added the businessman about the 20-year agreement that allows Marvel Studios use existing images and audio recordings of Lee.
It should be remembered that this is not the first time that Disney has taken up images of actors after their death using digital doubles. The first time they decided to use technology was in the Star Wars prequel Rogue One.

So far it has not been disclosed when the deal will start, or with which movie the famous could return to the big screens, but it is likely that for the titles of 2023 they may appear Lee’s new cameos. Interestingly, the news comes halfway through the development of Phase 4 of Marvel Studios, as they induct the concept of theMultiverse into their productions.
The announcement of Lee’s possible return to his iconic cameos has divided opinions, as some consider it exaggerated, however, in all Marvel productions there have been some direct references in homage to the creator of Spider- Man, such as his brief magazine appearance in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
Stan Lee, as a writer and editor, was key to Marvel’s rise as a comics titan in the 1960s when, in collaboration with artists such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko created superheroes that would captivate generations of young readers.

At some stage in his life he presided over the company after standing out as author of Spider-Man< b>, Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk< b> and the X-Men, among other popular comic book characters. The film adaptations spawned a franchise that has become the highest grossing movies in history.
The renowned comic book publisher was able to give the superhero genre a new impetus, with the creation of characters whose superpowers were balanced for its humanism, as well as for its narrative that is combined with each other and which has allowed Marvel Studios to explore different realities and concepts in their productions.
