As fans now eagerly await the next episodes, counting one a week from tomorrow, others have obviously found a particularly dubious occupation to pass the time and pour out their hatred. “There are more than 20 million sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy”

Long story short, there are hundreds of [posts] like ça, […] there’s nothing we can do against ça, to stop this hate. […] I think what bothers me is this feeling I have deep inside that I just have to shut up and take it. That I have to look good. And I don’t have the shoulders for it. Moses Ingram

Here are the words spoken by Moses Ingram on Instagram, after sharing: several screenshots of “like” messages, that is to say racist, among the “hundreds” that she would have received. Among these, we can read ” You’re just a quota to fill”, or “You’re not the first dumb nigger in Star Wars”. Some are even threatening, stating that “[his] days are numbered”.Although she takes it with a grain of salt and even tries to make fun of it a little by simply calling her critics “weird”, we obviously feel that this affects him. That’s why the official Star Wars twitter account has decided to to react publicly to through two tweets taking sides with the 29-year-old actress and advocating diversity.

We are proud to welcome Moses Ingram to the Star Wars family and excited to see his story unfold. If anyone intends to make her feel unwelcome in any way, we only have one thing to do; say: we are resisting.

There are more than 20 million of sentient species in the Star Wars galaxy, don’t choose to be racist.

While these words should not change much of the evil already; nor cause the authors of the messages to think, they have the merit of providing clear and public support for the actress who plays the third sister Reva in a very convincing way inStar Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi and that we will find as soon as this Wednesday, June 1st in episode 3.
