After going to Apple, the chinese Huawei is ahead of Samsung and offers the first place in the global market of smartphones.

For long months, Huawei is the target of many u.s. sanctions. However, these do not appear to reduce the strike force of the brand on the global market for smartphones. In fact, the brand is placed number 1 in front of Samsung and Apple. The chinese manufacturer had exceeded Apple a few weeks ago already, relegating apple to third place on the podium.
Huawei least impacted by the pandemic coronavirus
According to the bureau of studies Canalys, Huawei has sold $ 55.8 million phones in the second quarter, while Samsung only reached the $ 53.7 million units shipped over the same period. This represents a decrease of -5% compared to the same period last year to the chinese group versus -30% for the Korean company, which had dominated the market for many years.
For the analysts, Huawei has benefited from the economic recovery in China, a situation that has allowed him to sell many smartphones. In comparison, Samsung is much less present on the same territory, to the point that it has only 1% market share.
In addition, the Korean is in place on markets which have been highly impacted by the pandemic of sars coronavirus during the course of the last month, the United States, Brazil or even India. This explains why Samsung has experienced such a decline in sales compared to the same period last year.
For the moment, Apple has not yet announced its quarterly results, which should allow us to see the extent to which the brand has been impacted in the world because of the health crisis.
If Huawei defends itself well in the smartphone market, the brand faces some obstacles related to the 5G. The company has been banned in the United Kingdom, so that all of its equipment 5G will disappear in the years to come. In the longer term, other countries could take similar decisions.
